David and Gillian gave up their day jobs and started Ardunan Farm from scratch in 2007. Their aim was to be self sufficient and sell surplus to the local community. Their 24 acres now produces rare breed pork, lamb, chicken, turkeys, eggs and some seasonal fruit and veg. They set up The Great British Food Hub in 2018...an online platform connecting local people with local food and drink producers they also run the Milngavie Food Hub and are always on the lookout for passionate individuals to create a Food Hub in their area and earn 10% commission of it's weekly sales.

Yorkhill Housing Association Ltd is a small community based organisation with charitable status operating in the West End of Glasgow. It was first established in 1977 by a group of local residents who were anxious to improve the standard of local homes with the assistance of significant grant funding from central and local governments. Today the Association owns 456 tenement flats and manages a further 506 units on behalf of owners. It is still managed by a voluntary committee of local residents and interested parties elected by the membership. The area of operations is compact, stretching west between Argyle Street at Kelvinhaugh Street and Argyle Street at Bunhouse Road. At the back of the area, the River Clyde provides a natural boundary. Yorkhill Housing Association Ltd is registered with the Scottish Housing Regulator and the Financial Conduct Authority as a not for profit Registered Social Landlord. (RSL). We are a Registered Scottish Charity & Property Factor. All YHA business activities are governed by legislation and registration conditions. We're a small membership-led community food shop offering good quality food at a subsidised rate, part of Govanhill Baths Community Trust. We're starting a wee herb garden at the moment, and developing a community programme focused on how food connects to culture, the environment, activism and art.

Our Rights & Choices project works with migrant, refugee and asylum seeking women who are socially isolated and / or have experienced violence. Food poverty is a big problem.

Unity has officially launched a new project called the Unity Social Kitchen and The Sunday Social. The project will deliver cookery workshops for those living in food poverty, social isolation and also training for adults with learning disabilities. Furthermore, we will host a free 3 course Community meal every Sunday for families living in food poverty and social isolation.

The NHSGGC HI Team are committed to reducing inequalities in our communities to increase health and wellbeing. We are already involved in the Glasgow City Food Plan and have staff committed to delivering on some of the actions within the plan with a focus on children and young people, community food, food equity and climate change.

A group of volunteers organising & supporting a range of activities & events. We aim to support local producers, to raise awareness of global and local food issues and to promote food initiatives that reach each and every part of our community. Slow Food is a global, grassroots non-profit association, linking the pleasure of good food to a commitment to the environment & community.
