  • Young Growers Project - Film

This DIY story-telling project aims to explore the motivations, challenges and opportunities for young growers in Glasgow, Scotland and across Oyo State in Nigeria.

We visited 10 young people involved in market gardening, community gardening and hydroponics, to ask them why they do what they do and what the barriers for young people who want to grow food are.

This project was inspired by the need for a new generation of young growers to feed us, challenging the stereotype of what farmers and food growers look like. This film is looking at the experiences of some of these young food growers.

Food and Climate Action is a project delivered in partnership by 6 organisations in Glasgow and funded by The National Lottery Climate Action Fund.
