Learn the techniques for picking fruit from apple, pear, and plum trees so you can feel confident to go out and pick your own.

Plus, find out what to do with the fruit, how to store it, and enjoy a juicing demo.

We'll be picking from the 150 year old pear tree in the walled garden, and the apple and plum trees in the hospital grounds. We'll cover:

  • how to know when fruit is ripe
  • picking with long pole pickers,
  • shaking fruit into a tarpaulin and,
  • hand picking

We will meet in the walled garden summerhouse - What3Words ///native.gates.forest
