Asma Abdalla is a Sudanese with Netherlands nationality, she is an accomplished professional with significant International expertise and key skills in public policy, community capacity building and sustainable development. that enabled her to deliver impactful projects, guide teams, and address issues such as poverty, entrepreneurship, climate change, and social inclusion
Asma is the founder and CEO of Empower Women for Change (EWfC) established in 2015, a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) that promotes equality, inclusion, women financial independence, and climate change awareness through various initiatives. Asma is the founder and Chair of Women for Sustainable Development (W4SD), a Sudanese charity established in 2020 that promotes sustainability, resilience , entrepreneurship , poverty reduction and climate change awareness among the Sudanese women and girls, after the War in 2023 W4SD is now focusing on relief work in Sudan.
Throughout her professional career, Asma has worked with numerous organisations, including Scottish Refugee Council, Amina MWRC, and Next Step Initiative, advocating for equality, inclusion, and climate action.
Asma holds an MSc in Agriculture (Renewable Energy) and a BSc in Agricultural Engineering, supplemented by extensive professional training in equality, rights, and sustainability, making her one of the ethnic minority leading figures in the fields of equality, diversity, inclusion and sustainability.
