Join Forage & Feast with Jemima Hall and the Glasgow Community Food Network, in celebration of Lammas, a Pagan seasonal turning point where we enjoy the abundant gifts of summer.

In Jemima's foraging walk you will learn to identify some beginners edible foods including leaves, flowers, seeds and trees. She will introduce you to their folklores and histories, their medicinal qualities, how to eat them and how to correctly identify them.

You will learn how to forage consciously and safely, using all of our senses. We will discuss our findings and make some wild foraged tea and treats to enjoy, such as elderflower fritters pineappleweed flapjacks and a flowery green salad.

Bring along your own lunch to add to our wild foods, a blanket to sit on, and a small basket if you have one.

We will meet at 10am at the Saracen Fountain in Alexandra Park, Glasgow, G31 3LJ. The workshop will last for 3 hours, finishing at 1pm.

All ages are welcome!

We will be outside, and during our Scottish 'Summer' the weather can be very variable. We advise good shoes for walking off path and a waterproof jacket in case it rains.

Free event. Please contact Cara at [email protected] or 07915781341 with any questions or accessibility needs.

More information about Jemima's previous workshops and art practise can be found on instagram @jemima.e.hall and on her website www.jemimaelisabethhall.com
