If you are a community organisation needing support with food, Fare Share collection and delivery, volunteers or cleaning materials please fill out our survey form here and we will be in touch as soon as possible. We are pulling together useful links to health and safety protocols for community groups and will share these on this website.

Food support for community organisations

If you are a community organisation with little or no funding for food or are struggling to source food for your service users we may be able to help. We have a limited amount of money from the Scottish Government Supporting Communities Fund to offer some basic dried and fresh foods to a limited number of groups. We will look to obtain further funding to continue our 3 month trial if our services are still required at this stage. We are currently distributing from Glasgow University with help from their furloughed staff volunteers. It may be possible to collect from here too. Please fill in the form above and we will be in touch.

Fareshare collection and delivery to you

Any community organisation can now register with Fare Share for a free membership to get access to food from supermarkets (we've been told there is more fresh food than usual). This would need to be collected from their depot on South Street. If you cannot collect from the depot please get in touch and we can try and get it collected and delivered to you via our colleagues at Glasgow Community Transport. Please fill in the form above and we will be in touch.

Scottish Community Development Council safe delivery of services resources

This is a resource on safe delivery of services in communities during the COVID 19 emergency produced by SCDC and Public Health Scotland. It is an overview on how to keep communities safe whilst doing vital work, and is an incredible resource for communities and organisations who are working to extend their health and safety practices.
